Box Score Arlington, Va. – Marymount University's women's volleyball team swept a visiting Hood squad on Wednesday, using three very quick, very definitive sets to down the Blazers 3-0 (25-9, 25-9, 25-14). With the win, the Saints improve to 12-2 on the year.
The Blue and White controlled the match from the get-go, never letting the Blazers truly settle in or make a run.
Christine Tieman proved the ultimate architect in the match, collecting eight assists in the victory. Emileigh Rettig and Becca Schroeder smacked six kills apiece, while Tieman and Mallory Mitchell both added five digs to the effort.
Marymount returns to the Verizon Sports Arena on Saturday as it hosts Washington College and Lycoming College in a tri-match slated for 12 p.m.
