Women's Basketball Earns Another CAC Victory

Arlington, Va. – Marymount University's women's basketball team picked up another Capital Athletic Conference win with a 68-46 victory over visiting Frostburg State on Saturday afternoon. The Saints improve to 14-4 on the season and 4-1 in league play.

Four players scored in double-figures for the Saints, led by senior captain Katelyn Fischer with a game-high 23 points. She added five assists and five steals, both game highs, in the win.

Fellow senior Tynisha Parks chipped in 11 points while sophomore Dominique Dickens and freshman Kievanna Lacey added 10 each. Dickens posted a double-double with a game-high 10 rebounds.

Marymount pounded the Bobcats (5-11, 1-5 CAC) down low, converting 26 points in the paint compared to FSU's six. The Saints also outrebounded Frostburg 43-32 on the day.

Forcing 22 FSU turnovers, Marymount converted 28 points off those miscues and scored eight points on the fast break.

Elaina Hummel led Frostburg with 16 points.
