Arlington, Va. – Marymount University's
women's swimming team won its third-straight dual meet with a
109-58 victory over visiting Randolph-Macon on Saturday afternoon.
The Saints won eight individual events and both relays on the
day.
Katie Moran led the Saints with three first place finishes.
She posted a 25.71 in the 50 freestyle, a 56.61 in the 100
freestyle and anchored the 800 freestyle relay that swam an 8:09.10
with Katie Scott, Bridget Wunderly and Casey Thomas.
Bridget Wunderly, Emily Wagner and Taylor Hood also posted a
pair of first place finishes. Wagner and Hood were both on the 200
medley relay team that swam a 2:01.80 with Lauren Funk and Jackie
Finn. Wagner also won the 100 breaststroke in 1:14.92 while Hood
topped the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:07.18 and Wunderly won
the 100 butterfly in 1:03.31.
Thomas also finished second in the 50 freestyle at 26.64 and
the 100 freestyle at 56.74. Jessica Hester was second in the 100
breaststroke in 1:14.96, Scott was third in the 200 freestyle with
a time of 2:07.18 and Lea Mazzaccoli was third in the 100 butterfly
with a 1:08.56.
Marymount returns to action on Saturday, January 19th,
against Catholic and Washington & Lee in Lexington,
Va.
