Box Score Arlington, Va. – Marymount University's women's basketball team earned its third-straight Capital Athletic Conference victory with a 64-56 win over visiting Wesley on Wednesday night. With the win the Saints sweep the Wolverines on the year and move to 10-12 overall, 7-6 in league play.
Four Saints scored in double-figures led by Jackie Bohenek with a game-high 20 points. Reigning CAC Player of the Week Katelyn Fischer added 15 while Sam Spencer and Tynisha Parks chipped in 12 each.
Both Fischer and Parks both recorded double-doubles in the win. Fischer dished out 11 assists to go with six rebounds and three steals while Parks hauled down 10 rebounds.
A back-and-forth opening half saw four ties and a pair of lead changes. Keeping it mostly a one possession game, the Saints would close out the frame on a 10-2 run to take a 28-22 lead going into halftime.
Coming out of the break, the Wolverines chipped away the MU lead and eventually tied things up twice. Knotted at 39-39 after six minutes of play in the second half, Marymount put together a 14-0 run over the next nine minutes to put the game out of reach.
Aleisha Hobbs led the Wolverines with 14 points while Heather Fuller added 13. Jazmine Miller also posted a double-double, scoring 11 points to go with a game-high 12 rebounds.
Marymount returns to the action on Saturday against CAC foe Hood on the road.
