Box Score Frederick, Md. – Marymount University's volleyball team swept Hood 3-0 (25-19, 25-14, 25-17) to collect its first Capital Athletic Conference victory of the season on Wednesday night. The Saints have now won three-straight matches.
Jenn Forbes led the Saints with 11 kills on a sizzling .500 attack percentage. Erin Allison and Johanna Hummel added seven kills each, hitting .357 and .286 respectively while Christine Gallrt chimed in with five at a .444 clip.
Marymount (8-14, 1-5 CAC) posted its best hitting match of the season in the win. The Saints hit .337 in the contest, including a sharp .393 in the final frame.
Splitting time at setter, Kayla Stinson and Melissa Warren both notched double-figure assists with 16 and 14, respectively.
Defensively, Michelle McCormick collected 17 digs while Forbes led the Saints with a pair of blocks.
Marymount returns to action on Wednesday as it hosts Wesley in CAC competition. The match will serve as the Dig Pink event for the Saints.
