Washington, D.C. – Marymount University's
women's swimming team earned a pair of victories at a double
dual meet on Sunday afternoon. Winning 11 of 13 events, the Saints
defeated host Gallaudet 151-88 and topped Hollins
146-76.
The Saints kicked things off with a win in the 200 Medley
Relay as Anna Macedonia, Emily Wagner, Megan Morch and Katie Moran
posted a time of 1:57.76.
Kim Rizzo picked up the next win for MU in the 1000 Freestyle
at 11:27.99 before Jackie Finn won the 200 free with a time of
2:08.86. Kelly Labriola added a win in the 100 Backstroke at
1:08.28 and Catherine Martocci won the 100 Breaststroke at
1:19.88.
Macedonia collected another win in the 100 free with a time
of 54:85 while Labriola won the 200 back at 2:23.10 and Jessica
D'Abbraccio won the 200 breast at 2:53.33. Rizzo then added a
win in the 100 Butterfly at 1:05.19 and Macedonia placed first in
the 200 IM at 2:15.21.
The Saints closed things out with a win in the 200 Freestyle
Relay as Labriola, Martocci, Katie Scott and Emily Wagner posted a
1:53.49.
Marymount closes out the regular season on Saturday at
Frostburg State.
