Arlington, Va. – Marymount University's
women's swimming team split a tri-meet against a pair of
Capital Athletic Conference foes on Saturday. The Saints topped
Salisbury 107-99 before falling to Mary Washington
129-75.
Winning three events, the Saints posted nine top-three
finishes in the 11 event meet.
Marymount opened with a third-place finish in the 200 medley
relay with a time of 2:01.50 before Katie Scott placed third in the
1000 freestyle with a time of 11:48.40. The Saints added another
pair of third place finishes the next two events as Katie Moran was
third in the 200 free at 2:06.32 and Jackie Finn posted a 26.72 in
the 50 free.
Kim Rizzo and Emily Wagner then went two-three in the 200 IM
with times of 2:20.71 and 2:24.96, respectively. The Saints then
posted consecutive wins in the 100 free by Moran with a time of
56.78 and the 100 back by Anna Macedonia at 1:00.67
Closing out the meet, the 200 free relay squad won the final
event with a time of 1:42.60.
Marymount returns to action next Saturday in a tri-meet
against Washington & Lee and Catholic in Washington,
D.C.
