St. Mary's City, Md. – Marymount
University's women's swimming team dropped its season
opener 130-75 to St. Mary's (Md.) in Capital Athletic
Conference action. The Saints won four events, including a pair of
individual heats by Anna Macedonia.
Macedonia picked up MU's first top finish in the 50
Freestyle with a time of 25.14. Kimberly Rizzo would add another
victory in the 200 IM, posting a time of 2:19.88 and winning by
less than one second.
Dominating the 200 Backstroke, Macedonia and Rizzo were the
top two finishers in the event. Macedonia won the race with time of
2:11.74 while Rizzo finished second at 2:23.74.
Winning their fourth event to close out the meet in the 200
Freestyle Relay, Macedonia, Meghan Morch, Katherine Moran and
Jackie Finn won with a time of 1:44.35.
Marymount returns to action on Saturday, November 6, at York
(Pa.) against the host Spartans and Washington &
Lee.
