Asha Franklin enters her first season with Marymount women's basketball in 2023-24. She brings a wealth of hands-on experience with all facets of running a collegiate basketball program.
She has worked as an assistant athletic director at the Potomac School and as a program consultant for the Positive Coaching Alliance. Previously, she was the head women's basketball coach and instructor at Lewis & Clark College.Â
Her assistant coaching experience includes stops at Occidental College and Anderson University. She has also been the director of women's basketball operations at Pepperdine University and a staff administrator at Winthrop University.
Off the court, she has been heavily involved with the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) as she is a graduate of the WBCA Center for Coaching Excellence and has been a member of the WBCA Convention Advisory Group.Â
Franklin received her Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Occidental College and her Master of Arts degree in Youth Development Leadership from Clemson University.Â
