WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Marymount (Va.) (23-16) secured an 8–4 victory over Catholic (21-16) on Saturday at Talbot Field. The Saints capitalized on four errors by Catholic and scored four runs in the second inning, setting the tone for the game.

The Saints secured a confident victory over Catholic with a final score of 8–4. The scoring began in the second inning when
Ryan Cuadros singled and advanced to third on a hit by Alvarez. A series of errors by Catholic allowed Cuadros and Alvarez to score unearned runs. Via and Woodring contributed with singles, driving in runs and extending the lead. By the end of the inning, the Saints led 4–0.
In the fourth inning,
Joshmar Carbonell doubled and scored on a Woodring single. Woodring later scored on a sacrifice fly from Swekosky, bringing the score to 6–1.
The Saints increased their lead in the fifth inning. Alvarez reached on an error and scored on a single by
Anthony Farmakides. Another error allowed
Kaleikaumaka Grebin, who pinch-ran for Farmakides, to advance and eventually score on a groundout, pushing the lead to 8–1.
Catholic responded with a homer by Rowan Griffith in the bottom of the fourth and managed to add a run in the eighth inning with a single by Matthew Fisher bringing a runner home, making the score 8–2. In the ninth, Catholic's Parker Shenman and Daniel Nellum each drove in a run, but the Saints maintained the lead and concluded the game with an 8–4 victory.
