ARLINGTON, Va. -- Marymount's men's volleyball team went neck-in-neck with conference opponent, Rutgers-Newark.

In an eventful five set match, the team ultimately fell short, giving them an overall record of 15-11 overall and ups their conference record of 3-3.

NOTABLE

• Leading the team in kills was Sam Cook, who gained 13.
• Notably, Brady Wiggers claimed 12 kills alongside Seth Richards who earned 10.
• The Saints knew how to serve this afternoon with Sam Cook, Brady Wiggers, and Diego Peña getting two service aces. 
• Diego Peña led the Saints in assists with 34 and digs with 6.
• The Saints fell short in set one with a mere two point difference, 25-23.
• Set two the Saints fell behind and lost 25-15.
• In a thrilling turn of events, the Saints tied it up by winning sets three and four, 25-22 and 25-21. 
• In the fifth and final set the team fell short 15-8.

 UP NEXT

• The Saints leave home to play on April 1st against CVC opponent, Elizabethtown College.
• The first serve is set for 7:00 PM.
