ARLINGTON, Va. -- Marymount's men's volleyball team went neck-in-neck with conference opponent, Rutgers-Newark.
In an eventful five set match, the team ultimately fell short, giving them an overall record of 15-11 overall and ups their conference record of 3-3.
NOTABLE
- Leading the team in kills was Sam Cook, who gained 13.
- Notably, Brady Wiggers claimed 12 kills alongside Seth Richards who earned 10.
- The Saints knew how to serve this afternoon with Sam Cook, Brady Wiggers, and Diego Peña getting two service aces.Â
- Diego Peña led the Saints in assists with 34 and digs with 6.
- The Saints fell short in set one with a mere two point difference, 25-23.
- Set two the Saints fell behind and lost 25-15.
- In a thrilling turn of events, the Saints tied it up by winning sets three and four, 25-22 and 25-21.Â
- In the fifth and final set the team fell short 15-8.
