HADDONFIELD, N.J. — CJ Highsmith Jr. was a defensive anchor for the Saints last week, earning Atlantic East Conference Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week honors after a dominant showing that helped Marymount stay unbeaten in conference play.

Junior CJ Highsmith Jr. put together a dominant week on the defensive end, playing a key role in keeping the Saints perfect in Atlantic East Conference action and pushing their winning streak to 12 straight games.
Highsmith was a force in the paint, totaling seven blocks and three steals on the week. His standout performance came at home against Neumann on Wednesday, where he swatted away a career-high six shots, anchoring a Saints defense that set the tone from start to finish.
On the glass, the Richmond, Va. native was just as impactful, pulling down 14 rebounds to average 7.0 boards per game. He also contributed offensively, adding 10.5 points per contest, making his presence felt on both ends of the floor during another strong week for Marymount.
This is Highsmith's third men's basketball defensive player of the week honors this season so far.
