FAIRFAX, Va. -- Marymount's track and field competed in the annual Patriot Games this weekend. Hosted by George Mason, the team showed up and showed out. This competition marked the team's third meet of the season and second of the new year. With many notable performances, the team looks forward to their next competition.
NOTABLE
- On the women's side, Brier Amerlinck claimed 12th place in the 5000 meter final with a time of 19:13.52.
- First year Lindy Ahenkora also secured 12th place in the Weight Threw finals with a distance of 10.92 meters.
- On the men's side, Cadyn Johnson placed 7th in the 60 meter finals with an impressive time of 7.53.
- In the 60 meter semi-finals, first year Jaythan Dumas finished in third with a time of 7.01.
- Jaythan Dumas also dominated in the 200 meters and claimed second place with a time of 22.63.
- Senior Samuel Struggs also placed 11th in this event with a time of 23.56.
- Junior Bryan Bivens claimed a top 15 spot in the 400 meter final with a time of 54.70 earning him 14th.
- Saint first year Ta'Sharde Graham claimed a top five spot on the 500 meter final with a time of 1:09.45.
- Cadyn Johnson placed 8th in the 1000 meter finals, 9th in the shot put finals, 7th in the high jump finals, and 10th in the long jump finals.
- Cadyn Johnson finished 7th in Marymount's first men's Heptathlon with 2878 points.
UP NEXT
- The Saints compete again on Valentine's Day in the Joe LaRocco Invitational.
- They will travel to Salem, Virginia for the one day competition.
