FREDERICKSBURG, Va. — Marymount lost to Mary Washington 2-0 on Friday at Roy Gordon Field. The Saints faced 16 second-half shots and made five saves after halftime as Mary Washington scored both goals in the second half.

The Saints generated sustained pressure midway through the first half, with
Hannah Driscoll and
Eleanor Keough forcing saves and
Nicole Alvarado taking two corner kicks between those chances.
Arianna Blanco also put an early shot on frame, and
Mara Dufour made a save on Mary Washington's only shot on goal as the half ended without a goal.
Mary Washington scored twice in the second half, going ahead on an own goal in the 57th minute and adding Layla Royster's goal in the 65th to put the Saints down 2-0. The Saints' main response came between those goals and shortly after the second, as Keough had a shot saved and another go high before Alvarado's corner led to Dan Carrillo-Torres' shot high. Dufour made four saves after the 71st minute to keep the score at 2-0, where the match finished.
