FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- Marymount men's basketball has began their conference games this Wednesday evening with a face off against Saint Elizabeth University. The road match ended with a win for the Saints, elongating their win streak to three. The Saints and the Eagles went toe-to-toe with a final score of Marymount 76, Saint Elizabeth 61.
The win puts the Saints a 4-7 record.
NOTABLE
- Anthoney McClary recorded a double-double, downing an impressive 18Â points and recording 11 rebounds.
- On top of leading the Saints in points and rebounds, Anthoney McClary logged the most steals (3), helping shift the Saints momentum.Â
- CJ Highsmith Jr. was another key player for the Saints offensively, crushing it with 15 points.
- Reuben McEachern was the night's play maker with four assists and shot a perfect 2-2 at the line.Â
- The Saints took on an early lead of +7 by the fifth minute of the game after a fast break layup by Jerome Lowrey.Â
- They continued to widen the gap to +15 after a tip in from James Bell in the ninth minute.Â
- The first half ended with the Saints leading by 14 points, 42-28.
- The Saints reached a new wide gap of the game in the second half, leading by 16 points after a 3-point shot made by Jerome Lowrey.
- Â Brian Poore gave the team a 17 point lead with nine minuets remaining in the game.Â
- By the end of the second half, a layup by Joshua Hughes maintained the 17 point gap with 42 seconds left.
