Box Score WASHINGTON, D.C. -- This Wednesday evening, the Saints did not spare their opponent. The team's third away game of the season ended in a 10-0 victory for the Saints over the Gallaudet Bison.
The double digit victory gives the Saints a record of 1-1-1.
NOTABLE
- First-Year Michah Vogler earned his first Saint career goal and first goal of the match.
- Gabriel Jiminez also secured his first Marymount career goal, upping the score to 2-0 in the 19th minute.
- First-Year Jonathan Sosa-Palma snagged his first season and career goal in the 29th minute.
- Another first-year, Mynor Gonzalez, earned his first college career goal in the second half.
- First-Year Ricardo Urrutia scored two back-to-back goals in the second half, less than ten minutes apart.
- Christopher Nascimento, first-year, earned the last and final goal of the match.
- The Saints offense dominated and took a total of 35 shots, with 23 being on goal.
- The Saints defense kept a tight ship, leaving Gallaudet scoreless and able to muster up one shot.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Saints opened up the match fast and with a mission, scoring within the first ten minutes.
- With two goals by Michah Vogler, a goal by Gabriel Jiminez, and two made penalties by Jefferson Lopez Coreas and Dylan Hiram's- the Saints took a large lead by the end of the first half.
- Up 6-0 by the end of the 45 minutes, the Saints made it a mission to get the score into double digits.
- Mynor Gonzalez upped the score less than ten minutes into the second half with a goal in the 54th minute.
- First-Year Ricardo Urrutia claimed Saint goal number eight on a penalty and number nine in the 64th minute.
- The tenth and final goal was shot into the back of the net by First-Year Christopher Nascimento.
UP NEXT
- The Saints will take on quite the voyage for their next game as they head over to Texas to play against Texas Lutheran University this Friday.
- The kickoff will be September 5th at 7:30 PM in Seguin, Texas.
