ARLINGTON, Va. -- The Saint's home game streak has come to an end this Saturday evening as the men's team played their fifth consecutive home match. With a 0-1 result, the team made a valiant effort against No. 10 Christopher Newport University.
The loss puts the Saints a 4-4-3 record.
NOTABLE
- As a team, the Saints attacked CNU's goal with 10 shots, three of which were on target.
- Midfielder Merlin Torres applied pressure to the opposing team's keeper and led the team with three shots.
- Off the bench, Jorge Lopez, Gabriel Jimenez, and Jonathon Sosa-Palma each took a shot.
- Keeper Bayron Banegas tallied up seven saves throughout the match.
- The Saints defense kept a tight ship, allowing for only one goal in the 72nd minute of the match.
