St. David's, Pa. -- Marymount flag football continued their dominance in Saturday's tri-game at Eastern University.
Taking a pair of games from the host and Centenary, the Saints improve to 8-0 on the season, 7-0 in Atlantic East play.
MARYMOUNT 12 - EASTERN 0
- Defense was the highlight for the Saints against Eastern, holding the Eagles scoreless to secure the tight win.
- Cara Vollmer threw for a touchdown to Jaylah Thompson, with the other TD coming from Vollmer on the ground. She ended the game with 94 yards in the air.
- Carly Rivera had five receptions for 77 yards.
- Leslie Villegas and Rivera led the Saints on the defense with seven total tackles.Â
- Yariliz Torres and Samantha Bulik each notched an interception.
MARYMOUNTÂ 41 - CENTENARY 0
- Vollmer passed for 154 yards against the Cyclones with five touchdowns.
- Rivera had 85 receiving yards with a TD. She added five tackles on defense.
- Kaylah Barr had a pair of receptions for 27 yards and two touchdowns. She added 46 rushing yards.
- Ashley Ayala-Mata had six tackles to lead the Saints' defense.
- Thompson notched an interception.
UP NEXT
- The Saints will travel to Holy Family for an AEC match up on Tuesday at 6 PM.
- They will be back at home on Sunday, taking on Penn State Schuylkill and Holy Family.
- It will be Senior Recognition Day for the Saints.
