ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Marymount men's volleyball continued their trip around New York on Friday, taking on St. John Fisher and Endicott.
Dropping the pair of matches, the Saints record now sits at 4-7 on the season.
St. John Fisher 3 - Marymount 1
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Diego Peña put up 14.0 points with his 13 kills and eight digs in the day-opening loss. The junior hit at a .296 clip in the match.
- Esteban Jauregui put up a staggering four solo blocks, adding four kills and assists, to notch 9.0 points.
- Mason Moore had four solo blocks on the day, as well, alongside three digs and a pair of kills.
- Jonathan Pickering powered seven kills with two digs and a solo block.
- Carter Gresham had 12 assists in the match, followed by Evan Cao with 10.
Endicott 3 - Marymount 2
HOW IT HAPPENED
- In a tight, five-set loss, Ethan Li led the way with 13 kills, hitting .360, with four digs and a solo block.
- Peña had another strong outing in the nightcap with 10 kills, eight digs, and two solo blocks.
- Nickolas Blose led the charge on the defense with 10 digs in the loss.
- Coa set a career-high in the assists category, putting up 40 in the five-setter.
- Jauregui had eight kills with a .333 clip, adding two blocks and seven digs.
- Pickering upped his kill total in the second match of the day, posting nine with two digs.
- Luke Pogue swatted seven kills and dug out three digs.
UP NEXT
- The Saints will round out their trip tomorrow, taking on Nazareth in Kidera Gymnasium at 11 AM.
- They will be back in Converse Family Fieldhouse next Saturday, Feb. 15, hitting the court against Wilkes at 11 AM.
