Box Score Scraton, Pa. -- Marymount women's basketball picks up another road win against the Marywood Pacers, winning 55-45. This is the team's third consecutive win and second consecutive road win.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Marymount got off on the right foot with an opening 3-point shot made by Ella Morrison.
- Marywood answered this 3-point shot, leading Marymount to fall behind as the first quarter progressed.
- By the end of the first quarter, Marymount trailed by a 9-point deficit.
- In the second quarter, the gap was beginning to close with two free throws made by Samantha Bulik.
- Two fast break layups by Kaylah Barr put Marymount back in the game, with the Saints now only trailing by 2 points.
- By the end of the second quarter, Marymount was clawing their way back up and looking to take the lead.
- With the third quarter started, Marymount fell back into a 7-point deficit to Marywood.
- Ella Morrison answered this with four back-to-back points in the first two minutes of the third quarter.
- Marymount gained their first lead in the third quarter with two made free-throws by Kaylah Barr.
- The Saints maintained a 1-point lead by the end of the third quarter.
- In the final quarter of the game, Marymount dominated.
- The team did not lose their lead once in the fourth quarter, and ended with a 10-point lead.
- The Saints won the game 55-45, and Kaylah Barr had a double-double of 10 rebounds and 16 points.
