BALTIMORE, Md. -- Marymount men's basketball tipped off their 2025-26 season this Friday evening. Away from their home court, the team traveled to John Hopkins University. The Saints and the Blue Jays went toe-to-toe in Baltimore, with a final score of Marymount 67, John Hopkins 76.
The loss puts the Saints a 0-1 record.
NOTABLE
- Reuben McEachern was the Saints team leader in points, sinking a total of 17.
- Behind him, CJ Highsmith Jr. (16)Â and James Bell (13) made a significant impact on the scoreboard with their points.
- CJ Highsmith Jr. earned an impressive field goal percentage of 71.4, going 5-7 on field goals.
- Similarly, CJ Highsmith Jr. went 1-1 on three-point shots.
- James Bell dominated out of the paint and went 3-4 for three-point shots.
- Jerome Lowrey helped change momentum and led the team in defensive rebounds with five.
- Jerome Lowrey and CJ Highsmith Jr. led the team side by side in total rebounds, with six.
- CJ Highsmith Jr. used his height to lead the team in blocks, with two.
- Reuben McEachern changed the momentum of the game with three steals.
- As a team, Marymount snagged 30 total points in the paint, eight of which were fast-breaks.
