ARLINGTON, Va. - Marymount women's basketball put together its strongest offensive outing of the young season on Wednesday night, defeating Hood, 78-65, inside Converse Family Fieldhouse. With the win, the Saints improve to 2-2 on the year.Â
NOTABLE
- Kaylah Barr led all scorers with 21 points, shooting 7-of-14 from the floor and adding six made free throws. She also posted three assists, two steals, and four turnoversÂ
- Catie Kolwey recorded a dominant double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds, shooting 8-of-14 while adding three assists, two steals, and two blocks.Â
- Elsa Meysselle delivered one of the most efficient performances of the night, going a perfect 4-for-4 from the field and 4-for-4 at the line for 12 points, along with five rebounds and six assists.Â
- Aaliyah Thrash added 11 points, hitting three triples and contributing three assists and a steal.Â
- Crystal Wright grabbed 10 rebounds and added six points, five assists, and a steal in a strong all-around effort.Â
- Sakairah Sterling was impactful off the bench with 12 points, four rebounds, and four steals while going 5-of-8 from the floor.Â
- Marymount finished the game shooting 54.5% from the field, and produced 26 points off turnovers and 24 fast-break points, controlling the pace throughout.
