HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. -- Marymount women's volleyball headed up to New Jersey on Saturday to play a pair of matches at Centenary University.
Picking up an Atlantic East win over the Cyclones, the Saints split the day with a well-fought loss to FDU-Florham in the mix, moving their record to 9-10 on the season, 2-0 in conference action.
MARYMOUNT 3 - CENTENARY 0
- Elizabeth Stackpole led the Saints in the AEC win, racking up 11.0 points on 11 kills with a .733 hitting percentage.
- Hailey LaBonte hit at an impressive .385 clip, knocking seven kills with seven digs and three service aces. She ended the match with 10.0 points.
- Johanna Modica had eight kills in the win on a .353 hitting percentage. The senior added a solo block and two digs for 9.0 points.
- Jessica Rothermel had a team-high 16 assists, with Emerson Aber adding 10 for the Saints.
- Ava Humphries led the defensive effort with 19 total digs in the match.
- Eliana Knaub had two solo blocks in the winning effort.
FDU-FLORHAM 3 - MARYMOUNT 0
- Stackpole had another strong outing in the second match of the day for Marymount, notching 7.0 points on six kills with a .235 hitting percentage. She added a solo block.
- Alexis Bumah had six kills on an impressive .857 hitting clip, good for 6.0 points.
- Modica had four kills and digs apiece in the loss.
- Sabrina Schoeberlein had four kills and six digs in the match.
- Rothermel had 12 assists, with Aber putting up 10.
- Humphries ended the day with another double-digit effort in the digs category, notching 18 in the match.
UP NEXT
- Marymount will be back inside of Converse Family Fieldhouse next week, first playing Stevenson on Thursday at 6 PM for their Dig Pink Match.
- They will then host a tri-match on Saturday, Oct. 18, playing AEC foe Marywood first at 12 PM, then DeSales at 4 PM.
