Box Score WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Marymount women's volleyball took the short trip over to Gallaudet University for a midweek, non-conference matchup with the Bison.
Falling 3-1, the Saints now sit at 1-7 on the year.Â
NOTABLE

- Emily Genau had six kills in the match alongside four digs.
- Natalie Bialecki racked up 23 assists with seven digs.
- Eliza Freeman reeled in 19 digs with three assists to add to her line.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first set was as promised, a tight matchup between the crosstown foes. Going back-and-forth throughout, the Bison put together six-point run to shift momentum to their side of the court. Three points in a row from the Saints evened up the tally, but Gallaudet used another run to give them space and take set one.
- Marymount bounced back in the second set, taking advantage of costly errors on the other end to take set two. A kill from Bialecki and a service error from the Bison sealed the deal and evened up the sets.
- Gallaudet went on to take the next two sets, and ultimately the match, to claim the win in the early part of the regular season.
