ARLINGTON, Va. – Alongside yet another successful year for Marymount Athletics in competition, the Saints performed strong on the academic front yet again, showcasing the holistic vision of the department for its student-athletes.
 
Placing 245 Saints on All-Academic teams, Marymount also put 37 on College Sports Communicators Academic All-District squads.
 
Marymount placed 235 student-athletes on the Atlantic East All-Academic Teams, announced by the conference office on Tuesday of this week, up 11 student-athletes from just last season. 
 
To earn a spot on the All-Academic team this year, a student-athlete must be a full-time student and register a 3.20 grade-point average or better through the Fall and Spring semesters. For the full criteria, click here

The Continental Volleyball Conference announced their All-Academic Team recently, as well, giving seven of our men's volleyball student-athletes the honor.

In the Centennial Conference, three more Saints from the women's golf program were named to the Spring Academic Honor Roll while Hunter Gillis was one of two student-athletes named to the Academic All-Centennial Team for women's golf. It's her fourth time earning the prestigious distinction.
