GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. - Marymount track and field put on a display at the Atlantic East Championships, with the women bringing back the AEC trophy with top performances across the board.
The men fell just short, settling for runners-up, with a strong showing across the two-day trek.
TEAM RESULTS
- Women: First of five teams with 268 total points, dominating the field for the Champion finish.
- Men: Second of five teams with 177 total points, coming up in second place at the meet.
TOP TRACK RESULTS
- Chandler Eddleton earned gold in the women's 100m dash final with a time of 13.03, a personal best, with teammate Destiny Noel placing bronze with a final timing of 13.23.
- Deziree Conklin-Boone broke the AEC Championship record in the 100m hurdle event with a time of 15.10, followed by a silver finish by Dana Freimane (18.00).
- Reuben McEachern (17.07) and Bryan Bivens (17.08) finished gold-silver in the men's 110m hurdle event.
- Ilana Hawkins notched a gold finish in the women's 200m event with a time of 25.81, followed by Eddleton in bronze at 26.46.
- Hawkins broke the conference and championship record in the women's 400m run with a time clocked in at 58.60. Eddleton followed closely behind with a time of 59.07, which broke the standing conference record.
- McEachern earned gold again in the men's 400m hurdle event with a time of 1:00.50. Luke Wahlquist finished second at 1:00.77.
- Conklin-Boone broke the championship record in the women's 400m hurdle with a time of 1:06.94, a gold finish.
- Avery Finnegan placed silver in the women's 1500m with a time of 5:04.95.
- Zafit Olea placed bronze in the men's 3000m steeplechase event at 11:48.90.
- Mikayla Stevens put up a silver run in the women's 3000m steeplechase with a time of 12:53.99.
- Finnegan (18:44.46) and Brier Amerlinck (18:50.79) each beat their personal records in the 5000m run to earn medals, setting new championship records.
- Amerlinck went on to set a personal best in the women's 10000m run at 39:54.50 to earn silver in the event.
TOP FIELD RESULTS
- Hezzy Ntube notched gold in the men's discus throw with a mark of 39.88m, a personal best and conference record.
- Isabella Rivera earned gold in the women's discus with a mark of 33.94m, notching a personal record.
- Ntube set a personal record in the hammer throw at 38.12m to earn gold.
- Rivera placed first in the hammer at 35.77m, a personal best.
- Marymount men placed 1-2-3 in the men's high jump: Marcone Pessoa (1.67m), Clayton Grant (1.67m), and Bivens (1.67m).
- Freimane earned gold in the women's high jump at 1.42m, followed by Ella Morrison in silver with a mark of 1.37m.
- Pessoa notched another gold medal in the men's long jump at 6.23m, with Samuel Struggs putting up bronze at 6.11m.
- Conklin-Boone earned another gold medal in the women's long jump with a mark of 5.29m. Morrison placed bronze with a mark of 4.84m.
- Cadyn Johnson put up gold in the men's pole vault with a mark of 3.05m.
- Ariana Grant placed gold in the women's pole vault at 2.65m.
- Rivera had another gold outing in the women's shot put with a mark of 10.45m.
- Struggs placed first in the men's triple jump with a mark of 13.34m. Pessoa had bronze with a mark of 12.01m.
- Conklin-Boone set another championship record in the women's triple jump with a mark of 11.86m, earning gold.
RELAY TOP FINISHES
- Both the men's and women's 4x400 meter relay teams took gold in the championship meet.
