ARLINGTON, VA - Marymount men's volleyball faced Messiah University this afternoon in their last regular season match. Unfortunately, after a tightly contested match, the Saints fells short to the Falcons 3-2 (25-14, 25-23, 22-25, 23-25, 10-15).Â

HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
- The Saints started off strong in the first two frames with notable plays including numerous offensive kills from Robinson with assists from Pena. Blose defended the back row from strong offensive attacks from the Falcons.
- Despite securing the first two sets, the Saints came up short in the next two by just a couple points. The Falcons picked up their pace and put up big offensive plays, making the Saints work hard for their points.
- After tying the game 2-2, the match went into a decision set. Leading the entirety of the frame, the Falcons had a consecutive run, putting the score at 13-7. With a kill from Pena, the Saints claimed their last point of the day. Unfortunately, it was not enough as the Falcons claimed the win 15-10.
UP NEXT
- The Saints ended their regular season with a record of 21-8 and a conference record of 6-2. They broke the record earlier in the season for best start in program history with 11 straight wins and zero losses.
- On Tuesday, the Saints will play at home for the CVC quarterfinals against Rutgers-Newark at 6 PM.Â
