Baseball Sweeps Husson on Day Two of Florida Trip

DAVENPORT, Fla. - Marymount baseball improved to 10-0 on the season with a doubleheader sweep of Husson on Monday evening.

The Saints are one game shy of tying the program record for best start to the season, which was set in 2022.

GAME ONE - Marymount 9, Husson 3
  • The Saints hopped on the board first in the opening frame of the day with an RBI single off the bat of Kevin Knoess, scoring Ryan Cuadros, who walked earlier in the inning. They added one more with a walk from Craig Sodano with the bases loaded.
  • After Husson managed to get one across in the bottom of the first, the next two innings were quiet from both teams.
  • Marymount tallied two more runs in the top of the fourth via an RBI double from Cuadros and a sacrifice fly from Schaeb.

  • Parker Casselberry earned his second win on the bound, battling around traffic to throw 5.0 innings, allowing just two earned runs, with four strikeouts.
