BRIDGEWATER, Va. - Marymount track & field took the trip down to the valley to compete in the Doc Jopson Invitational, hosted by Bridgewater College between Friday and Saturday. 

The Saints showed strong at the meet, coming away with solid performances across the board.

TEAM SCORES

• The women finished 10th out of 14 total teams with a combined point total of 29.
• The men notched an 11th place finish out of 14 teams with eight points.

INDIVIDUAL TOP RESULTS

• Deziree Conklin-Boone had a fifth place finish in the 400 meter dash at 1:02.51. She went on to qualify for the 100m hurdle finals with a finishing time of 15.28.
• Avery Finnegan (4th, 5:05.07) and Brier Amerlinck (5th, 5:05.45) finished back-to-back in the women's 1500 meter run.
• Ariana Grant finished in second in the pole vault event at 2.99m.
• Malachi Williams notched an eighth place finish, qualifying for the finals, in the men's 100m dash with a time of 11.60 before placing seventh overall in the finals.
• Marcone Pessoa notched a top-10 finish in the men's long jump with a mark of 6.18m.
• Samuel Struggs put up a top-10 performance in the men's triple jump, marking in at 12.30m.

UP NEXT

• The Saint will next have scheduled meets at the Dalton Ebanks on Friday, Apr. 5 to Saturday, Apr. 6.
• The team will split on the second day, with student-athletes competing at Gallaudet on Saturday, Apr. 6.
