Game Recap: Men's Volleyball |

Men's Volleyball Takes Down Randolph-Macon, 3-0

ASHLAND, VA -- Marymount men's volleyball played Randolph-Macon College on Wednesday night. In a quick 3-0 sweep, the Saints claimed victory over the Yellow Jackets.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • In a tightly contested first set, the Saints came out on top with a score of 27-25. Notable plays included kills from Devon Robinson and Luke Pogue, with assists from Evan Cao.
  • With many consecutive runs in the second frame, the Saints secured it, 25-18. Will Wright totaled eight kills for this match and hit at a .438 clip. He totaled 4 in the second frame alone. Defending the back row tonight was Darvin Guan with a total of 6 digs. Mason Moore and Luke Pogue both acquired four blocks.
  • The Saints secured the win over the Yellow Jackets in the third frame with a sore of 25-20. Diego Pena assisted Robinson, Wright, and Morris for kills in this frame. 
  • Following tonight's win, the Saints are 7-1 with the Yellow Jackets since their first match up in 2019.
UP NEXT
  • The Saints don't see action again until Friday, March 22nd when they play Rutgers-Newark in Converse Family Fieldhouse at 7 PM. This match is Youth Sports Night!
  • On Saturday, the 23rd, the Saints play again at home facing Kean University at 1 PM.
