SCRANTON, Pa. -- For the second year in a row, Marymount women's soccer traveled to Marywood for the Atlantic East championship. This year, the Pacers flipped the script and emerged victorious with a 2-0 win on Saturday.Â
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Marywood took the lead with a goal in the 20th minute.Â
- The Pacers extended their advantage with another tally in the 57th minute.Â
- Marymount fired off four shots in the final seven minutes but was unable to find paydirt.Â
- Marissa Tonic led the Saints with three shots, including two on target.Â
- Overall, Marywood held a 15-9 advantage in shots and drew all three corner kicks of the game.Â
- Marymount finishes the season with a 7-8-4 mark, including 4-0-2 in conference play.Â
