ARLINGTON -- In front of a great opening night crowd on Friday evening, Marymount men's basketball and Johns Hopkins battled for 40 minutes with the Blue Jays emerging victorious with a strong second-half performance to win, 75-69.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- In a 38-38 sprint of a first half, both sides shot over 50.0 percent from the field (JHU - 51.8 percent, MU - 53.1 percent). It was a different story in the second half.
- Both teams shot over 20 free throws in the second half alone, with Hopkins hitting 24-of-29 from the charity stripe for the game. Marymount only mustered 14-of-23 from the free-throw line for the game.
- Marcus Stubbs led the Saints with 15 points on the night.
- Miles Phillips went 2-of-3 from beyond the arc while scoring 10 points.
- Isaac Harris rounded out the double-digit scorers with 13 points on 6-of-11 from the field.
