Box Score 2 NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- Marymount women's volleyball took down RV Christopher Newport for the first time in seven years on Saturday afternoon on their home court in a five-set thriller.
Splitting the day with a loss to #15 Washington & Lee, the Saints will bring home a quality win with the AEC Tournament looming.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Marymount took the first set of the evening to push momentum to their bench, using a four-point burst in the latter part of the set, highlighted with a Harris kill.
- After CNU took the next two, the Saints got back into motion.
- A thrilling fourth set, that forced Marymount to score 30 points, was the table-turner. Back-to-back kills from Harris with the score tied at 28-28 was the difference maker to force the winner-take-all set.
- The Saints held the advantage throughout the fifth set, ultimately taking down the Captains in the defining win.
UP NEXT
- The Saints will play one final tri-match next Friday, Nov. 8, at Catholic.
- They will play Lynchburg at 5 PM before moving to Catholic at 7 PM.
- They will host the AEC Semifinals on Thursday, Nov. 14 in Converse Family Fieldhouse.
