ARLINGTON, Va. -- In the first home game of the Coach Mattox era, the Saints handled the Hornets of Lynchburg in Tuesday night action.
With the win, Marymount picks up their first win of the season and move to 1-2 on the young year.
NOTABLE
- Senior Samantha Bulik led the offense for the Saints with 16 points, shooting 60% from the floor with three rebounds and two steals.
- Ella Morrison had 14 for the Saints with six rebounds, four steals, and a pair of assists.
- First-year Kaylah Barr had 13 points in the home-opening win, pulling down six boards with an assist.
- Ava Achtyl led the Saints on the glass with 12 alongside six points and a pair of assists.
- Cara Vollmer had 10 off of the bench for Marymount, going 3-of-4 from beyond the arc.
- Kelly Cerroll pulled down six rebounds with five assists and three points in the win.
- As a team, Marymount shot 41.8% from the floor and held pressure underneath the basket with 34 points in the paint.
UP NEXT
- Marymount will hit the road this Thursday for a match up with Dickinson College at 7 PM.
- They will be back at home Tuesday, Nov. 19 for a 6 PM tip-off with Shenandoah.
- The annual Pablo Coto Tip-Off Tournament will be held between Friday, Nov. 22 and Saturday Nov. 23.
