WASHINGTON -- Marymount men's soccer dropped a 3-0 contest to Catholic on Wednesday night in a Pope's Cup battle at Carlini Field.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Catholic was held scoreless until the 44th minute and took a 1-0 lead into halftime.
- A pair of goals in the 53rd and 70th minute gave Catholic a 3-0 advantage that ended up being the final margin.
- The physical rivalry game saw Marymount record 15 fouls to 12 for Catholic.
- The Cardinals held a 14-6 advantage in shots taken and 10-2 advantage in corner kicks.
- Liam Sloan earned the start in goal, nabbing one save for the Saints.
