WINCHESTER, Va. - Marymount track & field started off their 2024 season at the Kaye & JJ Smith Invitational, hosted by Shenandoah University, on Sunday.
Some top performances highlighted the day ahead of a busy season for the Saints.
TEAM RESULTS
- Men: 10/10 teams, nine points.
- Women: 7/11 teams, 38 points.
TOP RESULTS
- Deziree Conklin-Boone placed first in the women's 60 meter hurdle event with a finishing time of 9.54.
- Destiny Noel placed fourth in the women's 200 meter dash with a time of 27.26.
- Avery Finnegan notched fifth in the mile run, clocking in at 5:28.00.
- Brooke Hamer placed third in the 60 meter hurdle at 9.79.
- Ariana Grant placed third in the pole vault at 3.00m, also taking the fifth spot in the high jump event, marking in at 1.29m.
UP NEXT
- Next weekend, the teams will take place in the Robert Comstock Cardinal Classic, hosted by Catholic.
- It will take place at the PG Sports & Learning Complex in Landover, Md.
