IMMACULATA, Pa. - Saints women's lacrosse wrapped up the regular season on Wednesday evening on the road, taking down the Mighty Macs in decisive fashion by a final score of 21-5.
MU finishes the season with an overall record of 11-6, 4-2 in Atlantic East play.Â

- The story of the night was Arayla Garcia, finishing the night with a goal and an assist while notching 13 draw controls. Her season total stands at 128, which is a new single-season record for the Marymount program.Â
- Emily Peters, in her final regular season contest for the Saints, put up a stellar line. She put in four goals for Marymount, while adding seven ground balls, two caused turnovers, and a draw control.Â
- Taylor Chepren put five in the net for Marymount with two ground balls and a caused turnover.Â
- Riley Love collected six total points on three goals and three assists, while adding three ground balls.Â
- Ella Baker had a goal and three assists, good for four points.
- Tess Valentino had two goals and five ground balls.Â
- Megan Edens had a goal and an assist with a ground ball and caused turnover.Â
- Off of the bench, Kaleigh Dunham had two goals, with Elaina Hagen and Kaylee Heath each adding one apiece.Â
- Hannah Smith earned her 11th win in the goal while notching 10 total saves.
How It Happened
- The game started off with both teams trading shots, with Immaculata taking a 3-2 lead with just over four minutes left in the first quarter.
- A three-goal spurt, capped off by a Love goal from a Baker pass, gave the Saints a 5-3 lead after a quarter of play.Â
- It was all Marymount in the second quarter, as they shut out the Mighty Macs and scoring six of their own to take a commanding 11-to-3 lead into the half.
- The Saints outscored Immaculata 5-1 in the third quarter, with Garcia finding Chepren with the open look to end the third quarter and give MU a 16-4 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
- Heath scored the final goal of the game in the final minutes of the fourth, giving the Saints the deciding win ahead of the postseason.
