DAVENPORT, Fla. - Saints baseball picked up two wins on day two of the RussMatt Invitational over Muhlenberg College on Monday evening.
With the wins, MU moves to 9-3 overall on the season, with two more games in the sunshine state before coming back to campus.

- Bobby Leitzel was an on-base machine out of the leadoff spot for the Saints on the day, picking up two hits and drawing three walks, coming across the plate a total of four times.Â
- Braeden Lencz picked up his first win of the season in complete game fashion, going 7.0 strong innings in game two with 10 strikeouts, allowing just one earned run on five total hits.Â
- Bryce Smith went 3-for-6 between both games with two RBI.Â
- Owen Mead earned the win in game one out of the 'pen, going four innings of shutout ball with four strikeouts.Â
- Blake Doggett went 2-3 in game two with two RBI.
How It Happened
Game One
- Muhlenberg got up by two in game one with runs in the first and third innings.
- The Saints exploded for five runs in the bottom frame of the third inning, highlighted by RBI singles from Smith, Doggett, and Maylie.
- MU would hold onto the lead, with Mead taking the game the rest of the way, stifling the Muhlenberg offense.
Game Two
- It was all Lencz in game two as he held the Mustangs to just one run across his seven innings on the mound.Â
- Smith and Ryo Fabre put two across in the first inning with RBI hits.Â
- Jimmy Baker knocked a two-run double in the top of the fourth to complete the offense for the day.Â
