ARLINGTON, Va. - The Marymount women's lacrosse team hosted the Marlins of Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday in a non-conference matchup before their Spring Break trip next week.
The Saints will head into the trip with some momentum, as they moved to 4-2 on the year with an 18-to-3 romp of the Marlins.

- Taylor Chepren led the Saints with four goals on the day, going a perfect 2-of-2 from free position, alongside an assist, ground ball, and caused turnover.

How It Happened
- The Marlins were the first to score in the affair, sinking a goal at the 13:07 mark to put the Saints behind the eight ball early.
- Four unanswered goals, capped off by Valentino finding Garcia to close out the first quarter scoring, put MU up 4-1.Â
- It was Virginia Wesleyan again to open up the second quarter, but the Saints didn't falter as they would close out the half with four more unanswered goals to take a commanding 8-to-2 lead into the half.Â
- Marymount came out of the half hot, with Megan Edens finding Garcia to open up the second half scoring.Â
- MU scored four more times in the third quarter to go into the finale up 13-3.
- The Saints didn't allow a goal in the fourth quarter, sinking five of their own, to close out the win by its final tally of 18-3.
