ARLINGTON, Va. - Marymount men's basketball have made their way back to the Atlantic East Championship for the second-straight season with a home win on Wednesday evening over Immaculata, 81-to-73.
The Saints will host Neumann in the AEC Championship this Saturday.Â

- Marcus Stubbs continued to be the igniter for the Saints offense. Dropping 22 points, the junior guard went 5-of-9 from beyond the arc, adding four rebounds and two steals.Â
- Marcus Beckett continued to impress when it mattered. The junior put up 13 points in the win, shooting 50% from three-point range with three assists and rebounds, respectively.Â
- Off the bench, graduate student guard Ra'Shawn Cook had 17 points, three assists, and two rebounds. He was 13-of-15 from the charity stripe.Â
- Montell Cooper had nine points and six rebounds for the Saints, providing quality minutes off of the bench.Â
- As a team, the Saints shot 41.2% from three-point range.Â
How It Happened
- It was a slow start in the affair, with both teams playing hard defense to keep the other stagnant.Â
- Down 11-to-6, Stubbs took over. Sinking four straight threes, the Saints took the lead at 18-to-15.Â
- Both teams traded shots down the stretch of the first half, with the Saint taking a strong run, capped off by a Wyatt Hockenberry three in the final seconds to take a 38-to-27 lead into the half.Â
- Marymount never trailed in the second half of play, taking down the Mighty Macs in fashion to advance in the playoffs.Â
