SCRANTON, Pa. - The Saints used a strong second half to take down the Pacers of Marywood on Saturday, inching closer to clinching the top seed in the Atlantic East Tournament.
Marymount currently sits at 14-10 overall on the season, 9-2 in AEC play.
Notable
- Marcus Beckett heated up again in the affair, dropping 18 total points with five rebounds. The junior shot 7-of-11 from the field.
- Jack Bifano notched a double-double on the night, dropping 13 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. He added five assists in the contest.
- Montell Cooper had 16 points from the bench, going an impressive 7-of-8 from the field with four rebounds.

How It Happened
- The Saints opened up play with back-to-back scoring plays, notching a three from Beckett and a bucket from Bifano to go up 5-0 early.
- The Pacers climbed back, but a quick run with a jumper from Isaac Harris to cap it off gave the Saints a 22-to-14 lead.
- Down the stretch of the first half, Marywood began to apply offensive pressure, ultimately taking a lead into the half, 38-to-36.
- Marywood led by as many as eight in the second half before the Saints began to catch fire, starting off with a driving layup from Cooper to push momentum to the Saints' side.
- The Saints sank their pressured free throws in the waning minutes of the half, leading to the eventual victory for Marymount.
