Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men's Soccer Falls Late at Immaculata

IMMACULATA, Pa. -- Marymount men's soccer fell for the first time in conference play on Wednesday night at Immaculata, 2-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • After pushing the pace early, MU jumped ahead in the 19th minute thanks to the 10th goal of the season from Leonardo Torres.
  • Tony Martinez picked up the assist on the play.
  • Immaculata only placed one shot on target in the first half as the Saints went into halftime with a 1-0 lead.
  • The Mighty Macs drew even in the 55th minute.
  • Despite Marymount putting three shots on target over a 10-minute span, it was the Macs who took the 2-1 lead on a tally in the 82nd minute.
  • The Saints drew one corner kick down the stretch but ultimately fell, 2-1.
  • The loss snapped a four-game winning streak for Marymount.
  • Marymount held an 8-1 advantage in corner kicks and a 16-10 advantage in shots taken.
HEAR FROM COACH KALIN
  • "We had numerous opportunities in the first half to go up two and I really think that would have been enough. But, we left them have hope and they are a good enough side to punish us for that.  It's unfortunate the offsides call at the end took away a good equalizer."
UP NEXT
  • Marymount will remain on the road for a matchup against Cabrini on Saturday, Oct. 7 at 12 PM.
  • The Saints will return to Long Bridge Park on Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 7 PM against Eastern Mennonite.
