ARLINGTON, VA-- Saturday afternoon, Marymount women's volleyball faced Stevenson University at home. In a 3-0 decision, the Saints claimed the victory over the Mustangs (25-22, 25-21, 25-21).

NOTABLE

• Kaitlyn Doyle lead the team offensively with 19 kills and 3 service aces. Breaking her record for 1000 career kills late in the first set. 
• Alexis Franklin acquired 38 assist and 2 service aces. 
• Maya Harris lead defensively with a total of 12 digs. Eliza Freeman and Sarah Pham were close behind, each with 10 digs.
• Mya Bowers had 2 blocks.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Notable kills by Kaitlyn Doyle in the first set, pushed her over the edge in breaking her record for 1000 career kills. The Saints took the first set quickly with a score of 25-22 with kills from Jada Griffith and Myia Jeter. 
• Going off their momentum from the first set, the Saints remained strong in the second with a 24-16 lead. The Mustangs fought back with 4 kills in a row to bring the score to 24-21. The Saints claimed the second frame with a kill by Jada Griffith and assist by Alexis Franklin.
• Claiming six points in a row early on in the third set, the Saints remained on top 9-3. Fighting hard to extend the game, the Mustangs pushed back, tightening the score late in the game. Notable digs from Eliza Freeman kept the Saints ahead. A service ace by Kaitlyn Doyle secured the win for the Saints 25-21 and a 3-0 decision.
