ARLINGTON, Va. - Marymount men's basketball picked up a big win over conference favorite Neumann on Wednesday night, taking down the Knights by a final tally of 82-77.
With the win, MU moves to 2-1 in Atlantic East play, 6-9 overall.

- Marcus Beckett put up a career-high 17 points in the affair, going 6-for-8 from the field. He added four rebounds and two assists.
- Wyatt Hockenberry dropped 15 on the night, going 6-for-12 from the floor. He also had four rebounds and two assists in the contest.
- Marcus Stubbs had 12 points for the Saints.
- MU came out firing in the first half of play, shooting 69% from the floor.
How It Happened
- Marymount came out of the gate hot, scoring 14 unanswered points to start off the game, with a Beckett layup down the lane giving the Saints strong momentum.
- A fastbreak layup from Hockenberry gave to the Saints a 21-6 lead with just under 14 minutes left to play in the first half.
- Jack Bifano had back-to-back scoring plays with a three at the 8:22 mark to keep the Saints in the driver's seat.
- Beckett knocked down a strong three in the final minutes of the first half to give the Saints a 44-30 lead with under three minutes left.
- Isaac Harris finished off the scoring in the first half to send Marymount to the locker room staring at a 19-point lead.
- Ra'Shawn Cook started out the second half with a three to keep the momentum going on the Saints side, with the lead now at 54-32.
- The Knights climbed back into the game, but the Saints were the ones to make the tough plays down the stretch. Cook found Peja Boyd underneath the basket for an open look to seal the win.
