WASHINGTON, D.C. - Marymount women's soccer earned a decisive 6-0 win over the Bison of Gallaudet on Wednesday evening to improve their season record to 3-5-2 ahead of conference play coming up. 

Notable

• Laney Placido notched another two goals on the year from the midfield spot. Her season total now sits at five. 
• Breanna Harkins had a two goal night for MU, her first two for her Saints career. 
• Hanna Asanovich added a goal in the contest to push her freshman season total to three. 
• Sofi Plotkin, in her first start of her collegiate career in goal, earned her first win in shutout fashion over the Bison with the help of a strong defensive effort from MU.

How It Happened

• The Saints kicked off their scoring quickly, with Placido's first goal of the night in just the third minute of play. Asanovich and Harkins were each credited with an assist in the play. 
• MU scored their third goal in the first fifteen minutes of play off the foot of Asanovich with the assist credited to Placido. 
• Placido found Harkins in the 53rd minute of play with a strong give and go to put up the Saints' fourth goal of the match. 
• Placido shot from distance in the 59th minute of play, finding the back of the net for Marymount's fifth goal of the night. 
• To finish off the impressive offensive night for the Saints, Harkins knocked in her second goal of the match from a strong pass from Angelica Carbone.
