Game Recap: Women's Volleyball |

Women's Volleyball Competes at Worthington Classic, Tops Catholic

WASHINGTON – After dropping its first two matches on a tough Friday night of competition at the Worthington Classic hosted by Gallaudet, Marymount women's volleyball came back on Saturday morning with two strong wins over D.C. rivals Catholic and Gallaudet.

In the first match of the tournament on Friday afternoon, Salisbury topped Marymount in four sets. The Saints then came back to play DeSales late on Friday night, winning the first set before dropping the next three to fall, 3-1.

On Saturday morning, Marymount took care of business in a Pope's Cup matchup with Catholic and won 3-1. Thanks to the tiebreakers due to a three-way tie for second in Pool B, Marymount was relegated to the fifth-place match against Gallaudet and ended the tournament on a positive note with a 3-0 sweep of the Bison.
