Box Score WINCHESTER, Va. - The Saints women's soccer team traveled to Shenandoah University on Thursday night to take on the Hornets in an early season, non-conference matchup. Despite showing strong defensive prowess, Marymount came up on the short end of the affair by a final margin of 2-0.
How It Happened
- The first half was a strong back-and-forth between the two teams. In the 17th minute, the Hornets put the first point on the board.
- Down just 1-0 in the second half, the Saints began to push the offensive with Chloe White finding an open shot, but a nice save from SU's goalkeeper kept Marymount behind in the match.
- As time began to expire, the Saints pushed forth one more attempt to get on the board off the foot of Laney Placido, but missed just wide.
