GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. - The Marymount University women's tennis team edged Gwynedd-Mercy on Saturday, getting a crucial singles win from Angelica Dalton.
The Griffins had taken the first two doubles points, with the Saints trailing 2-1 heading into singles play after a default at #3 doubles.
Caroline Haymans won by forfeit in the #1 singles spot, and Dalton helped clinch the team victory with an 8-5 victory over Jen Eisemann.
The Saints are 1-6 but 1-0 in Atlantic East play as they begin a stretch of five straight road league matches. MU will play at Immaculata tomorrow and then head back to the area Monday for a matchup vs. Neumann.
