INDIANAPOLIS — Marymount women's volleyball has learned its NCAA Tournament destination as the NCAA Division II Women's Volleyball Committee announced the full 64-team field on Monday afternoon.
The Saints will compete in the Fredericksburg, Virginia region and will open against MAC Commonwealth champion Eastern on Thursday, Nov. 10 at 5:30 PM. If the Saints advance, they will play on Friday at 7:00 PM. The regional final is slated for Saturday at 5:00 PM. The full schedule can be found

SCOUTING THE REGION
- While Eastern holds a 6-3 edge in the all-time series, this will be the first meeting between the two sides since Marymount won in three close sets in 2018.
- In the meeting before that, the Eagles won 3-0 in 2014.
- Marymount topped Stevens in three sets on Sept. 3.
- The Saints fell to Johns Hopkins (Sept. 3) and Mary Washington (Oct. 29) in four sets earlier this season.
SCOUTING THE SAINTS
- The last time Marymount made the NCAA Tournament in 2019, the Saints topped Randolph-Macon (3-1) and Christopher Newport (3-2) before falling to No. 7 Trinity (Texas) in the regional final.
- Marymount finished the season with a 19-14 record, including 5-1 in Atlantic East play.
- The Saints avenged their only conference loss by sweeping Cabrini in the Atlantic East championship.
- Elissa Munsterman was named the Atlantic East Tournament MVP for her performance against Neumann and Cabrini to clinch the title. Munsterman leads Marymount with 433 kills and ranks second with 299 digs.
ABOUT THE CHAMPIONSHIP
- At the Fredericksburg regional, single-day passes will be $10 for adults and $5 for seniors and students.
- The championship will be held Nov. 16-19 at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse in Pittsburgh, with Saint Vincent College serving as host.
- Forty-four conferences, including the Atlantic East Conference, were awarded an automatic qualification for the 2022 championship.
- The final 19 berths were reserved for Pool C, consisting of institutions from automatic-qualifying conferences that are not the conference champion as well as independent institutions.
- Based on sport sponsorship numbers for 2022-23, there will be one Pool B berth for this year's championship.
