Box Score WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Saints jumped ahead 2-0 in the first half, but a pair of second half goals from the visiting Cyclones of Centenary University forced a tie in AEC action on Saturday.
NOTABLE
- On her senior day, celebrating the contributions she has made for the Saints over her collegiate career, Laney Placido knocked in the Saints' second goal in the contest. The goal puts her season total at seven.
- Hanna Asanovich had three shots on the day, with one of them being on goal.
- Chloe White knocked two shots on goal in the contest.
- Marymount outshot the Cyclones 16-to-11.
How It Happened
- The Saints hopped on the board early in the first half, after a corner kick from Eva Roros forced the visiting Cyclones to knock an own goal into the net to put MU on top 1-0.
- In the 36th minute, Asanovich pushed a strong pass up to Placido, who put a seering shot into the corner of the goal to give the Saints the 2-0 lead.
- After Centenary knocked two in of their own in the second half, the Saints continued to press the offense but couldn't find the back of the net to finish the match with the tie.
